If a team is unable to field a full team prior to 5:00 pm, then the manager should notify the Midland Parks and Recreation Department.
The notice must be handed to the Department in writing and must be confirmed by a Department employee (Email to jstewart@midland-mi.org is accepted and preferred).
The Department will then notify the opposing team’s manager to make the forfeit official.
The game will then be recorded as a forfeit and the opposing team will not need to be present at the field.
Any team, which forfeits two (2) games during the season, shall be reported to the Board for review. The Board may suspend the team for the remainder of the season if circumstances warrant a suspension.
*Only when you hear from Midland Parks and Recreation is the game officially a forfeit
Forfeit At Game Time

The opposing team’s manager must then give the plate umpire a lineup to indicate they have a full team.
If neither team has enough players to play the game, then the game will be declared a double forfeit.
Any team, which forfeits two (2) games during the season, shall be reported to the Board for review. The Board may suspend the team for the remainder of the season if circumstances warrant a suspension.
